Not every business expense fits neatly into a standard category. Training courses, professional memberships, courier deliveries, cleaning services, and one-off purchases all generate receipts that need recording. These miscellaneous costs are often the first to fall through the cracks, and together they can add up to a significant amount of unclaimed spending.
Photograph a paper receipt, forward an email invoice, or send a screenshot via WhatsApp. Snyp handles every format so no expense gets left behind.
Even unusual expenses are categorised intelligently. Snyp recognises training costs, subscriptions, insurance, cleaning, couriers, and dozens of other expense types.
By capturing every business receipt, not just the big or obvious ones, you build a complete picture of your costs and maximise your allowable deductions.
All expenses, regardless of category, are synced to your accounting software. Your bookkeeper or accountant can then review and reclassify anything that needs attention.
Professional body annual membership fee
Online training course or workshop fee
Courier and delivery service charges
Office cleaning service invoice
Business insurance renewal premium
Trade show or conference registration fee
HMRC's "wholly and exclusively" rule is the key test for any business expense. If an expense has a dual purpose (part business, part personal), you may still be able to claim the business portion, but you need to clearly identify and justify the split. Check with your accountant for borderline cases.
Professional membership fees and subscriptions to trade bodies on HMRC's approved list (List 3) are fully deductible. You can check the list on the GOV.UK website or ask your accountant whether your memberships qualify.
Training courses that maintain or enhance skills you already use in your business are generally allowable. However, courses that teach you an entirely new skill unrelated to your existing trade may not be deductible. The distinction can be subtle, so discuss with your accountant before claiming.

Receipts were always a disaster for me. Some in the car, some in WhatsApp, some in email… total chaos. Now I just send everything to Snyp and that's it
